Obituary

SPRINGFIELD ~ Henedine M. (Bolduc) Lacasse, 82, of the Mason Wright Apartments in Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, January 20, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Saint Methode, Province of Quebec, Canada on April 7, 1936, a beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Tardif) Bolduc. She was raised in Saint Methode and came to Springfield in 1967 where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was employed for many years in the Housekeeping Department at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and was proud to have been named their Employee of the Year in 1991. She was a communicant of the former Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Springfield where she was a member of Les Dames de Sainte Anne and Les Filles d'Isabelle. She currently was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church in Springfield. During her leisure time, she enjoyed going out to eat and playing cards on the weekends with her family and friends. Most of all, she was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother to her husband and family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate, Joseph H. Laccasse who was Called Home on September 12, 2018. They were married on September 21, 1957 at Eglise Saint Methode, P.Q., Canada and were blessed with nearly 61 years of happiness together. She leaves her two loving children, Sylvie R. Peloquin and her husband, Maurice, and Daniel R. Lacasse, all of Springfield; her cherished granddaughter, Chantal Peloquin; her four dear sisters-in-law, Micheline Paradis, Lizette Breault and her husband, Jacques, Celine Lacasse and Marielle Lacasse, all of Province of Quebec, Canada; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Lacasse and Bolduc families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her two dear brothers, Andrea Bolduc and Henri Caron; and her four dear brothers-in-law, Roland Lacasse and his wife, Johanne, Armand Lacasse and his wife, Yolande, Yvon Lacasse and Paul Lacasse. Her family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning, January 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Boulevard, Springfield, MA 01104. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (413-737-1177). In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Baystate Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199.
