Salem: Mary Sophie (Godzik) Dansreau, age 90 formerly of 12 Pope St., Salem, died Saturday morning at the Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Peabody. She was the wife of the late W. Lucien Dansreau. Born in Lawrence and raised in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Wojtak) Godzik. A resident of Salem since her marriage in 1934, she worked for brief periods of time in the leather industry and at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers. Mrs. Dansreau was at different times a member of St. James Parish and the Immaculate Conception Parish. She was also a member of the Salem Council on Aging, AARP and was a former member of the Salem Moose Lodge.
She is survived by a son: Lucien J. Dansreau and his wife Carol of Yarmouth, ME, 4 grandchildren: Leanne Gould of Bedford, NH, Paul Dansreau of Shelton, CT, Stephen Dansreau of Hingham, MA, Michelle Minucca of Cumberland, RI, also 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Richard Dansreau and 2 brothers: Frank & Joseph and a sister: Josephine Godzik.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Wednesday December 28th at 9 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem [Rt. 114 / 1-A] followed by her funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd, Salem at 10 am.
