Obituary

SPENCER; Thomas P. Hopkins, 64, of 19 High St., died Saturday, January 19, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Linda S. (Morris) Hopkins, two sons; Damon James Hopkins and his wife Katelyn of Spencer, Justin Thomas Hopkins and his wife Holly of West Brookfield, his mother and step-father, Catherine (Mayo) Lamothe and her husband Paul of Spencer, a brother, John Hopkins and his wife Debbie of Truro, a sister, Melissa H. Walsh of Spencer, five grandchildren; Callie, Cooper, Augustus, Eleanor & Oakley, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his father Charles A. Hopkins and a brother Stephen Hopkins.
Thomas was born on Nantucket. He was a graduate of Doherty High School in Worcester. He worked for twenty years as the Executive Director of the Architectural Access Board for the State. He was awarded the first annual Thomas P. Hopkins Access Award in 2015.
He enjoyed woodworking, sailing, fishing, traveling to the beach and cooking. His top priority was taking care of his family.
Memorial Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 27 from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. There are no other services. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
