FALL RIVER – Gil Viveiros, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Laura (Arruda) Viveiros. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Almeida) Viveiros. Gil served in the Portuguese Army and was a member of the Laborers Union Local #133.
Along with his wife he is survived by his son Armando Viveiros (wife Michelle) and daughter Beth Ann Viveiros, both of Fall River; brother Jose F. Viveiros of Canada; grandchildren Eric and Iain Viveiros, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased his brothers Alvaro and Augustinho Viveiros.
His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday, January 26th at 9 A.M. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation Saturday, January 26th morning 8-9 A.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
