FALL RIVER – Jose H. Valentim, age 68 of Fall River passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Remedios da Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Acores, he was the son of the late Jose & Maria (Tavares) Valentim and the beloved husband of Dulce (Sousa) Valentim. Prior to retiring, Jose worked for Pioneer Finishing as a Mechanic in the Maintenance Department. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church and a “Jack of all Trades”.
In addition to his wife of Fall River, he leaves behind his two daughters: Carla Travassos (husband Joseph) and Sandra Pacheco (husband Victor) all of Assonet; siblings: Maria L. Soares, Maria Moreira, and the late Manuel T. Valentim; grandchildren: Brandon & Aidan Pacheco, Abigail & Hailey Travassos; several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, Jan. 23rd here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours on Tuesday, Jan. 22nd from 4-8 P.M.
