Obituary

SAGAMORE BEACH ~ Dorothy M. (Andras) Buskey, 96, of Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts and a former longtime resident of Westfield, Chicopee and South Hadley, was called safely home on Saturday, January 5, 2019. She passed into eternal life at the Cape Heritage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Sandwich. She was born in Westfield on October 5, 1922, a beloved daughter of the late August and Mary (Oleksak) Andras. She was raised in Westfield, graduated from Westfield High School and lived in Westfield and Chicopee following her marriage. She was employed as an executive secretary at the former A.G. Spalding Company in Willimansett. Most of all, Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Marcel R. Buskey who was called home on March 23, 1989. They were married on May 23, 1942 at Saint Peter's Church in Westfield and were blessed with over 46 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving son with whom she lived for 20 years, David M. Buskey of Sagamore Beach; her loving daughter, Jeanne M. Leblond and her husband, Gerard, of Belchertown; her two loving grandsons and their families, Jeffrey Leblond and his wife, Mary Leah, of Wartrace, TN; and their children, Luc, Elijah and Asa; and Jeremy Leblond and his wife, Anne, of Belchertown; and their children, Nathan and Samuel; her loving brother, Richard “Bud” Andras and his wife, Ann, of Granby; her brothers-in-law, Robert Buskey and his wife, Lorraine, of Chicopee, and Richard Buskey and his wife, Sandra, of Clinton, CT; her sister-in-law, Patricia Bousquet of Clinton, CT; and her many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Buskey and Andras families. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brothers and sisters, Paul, Frank, August, Stephen, Edward, Katherine and Ruth. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. which will be followed by a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. at the St. Pierre ~ Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 10 a.m.). The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
