Robert A. "Bob" Cooper, a 25 year resident of Charlestown and formerly of Medford, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford. He was 76 years of age.
Bob was born in Medford on August 19, 1942, a son of the late Charles L. Cooper and Mary A. (Feeney) Cooper. He grew up in Medford where he was educated in the Medford Public School system and graduated from Medford High School in 1961. Bob worked as a Claims Adjuster for Hanover Insurance Company from 1961 to 1992. Following his retirement, Bob dedicated his life to his longtime companion Pauline (Benoit) Davis before her death. He enjoyed bowling and loved Boston sports teams. Ted Williams was his idol and always enjoyed wearing a jersey with # 9.
Bob is the devoted father of Deneen Davis and Kim Davis. He is the longtime companion of the late Pauline (Benoit) Davis. He is the loving brother of Gerald Cooper and his wife Margaret and the late John Cooper. He is the beloved uncle of Timothy Cooper, Kathleen Nessralla, Kevin Cooper, and to his 6 loving grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's visiting hours on Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., in The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. His burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
