Carolyn J. Abbatematteo, 74, died Monday, January 7th, 2019 at her daughter’s home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Bellisario “Benny” Dante Abbatematteo, Jr. They had been married for forty-five years before his death in 2016.
Born in New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Isabel (McGowan) Stiles. She had worked at Bryant College in Food Service before her retirement in 2016.
She is survived by her children; Lynn Farrar, Deborah Grande, Kelly Wolinski and Jean Abbatematteo, her stepchildren: Danise Davis, Kathe Plante, Cindy Gould, Carolann Nadeau, Michael Abbatematteo and Ellie Buxton, their spouses; 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her stepson, Tony Abbatematteo and brothers; Charles and Robert Stiles.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
