BREMEN, Maine- Chester L. Fesmire Jr, age 67, passed away on January 6th, 2019 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. He fought an extremely courageous battle with advanced prostate cancer. He was surrounded by his children and sister.
He was born in Abington, PA on December 18th, 1951, a child of Chester L. Fesmire Sr. and Doris M. Fesmire
He attended Council Rock High School and Millersville University.
He was married to his high school love, Deborah L. (Schieber) Fesmire on October 2, 1971.
Taking after his Father, he was proudly self employed as a carpenter and custom cabinet maker.
Chester mastered the talent of 1/87 scale modeling, was an avid angler, loved historical documentaries and named his biggest success as his children.
He wrote columns on HO scale vehicles in Toy Trucker & Contractor magazine. Scale Auto Magazine said, "that he knows more about small-scale models than anyone on the planet." He belonged to the IOOF of Round Pond, Maine and previously to The Lions Club.
His predeceased relatives include: His Father, Chester L. Fesmire Sr. His Wife of 43 years, Deborah L. Fesmire (Schieber) and Daughter, Christiana Fesmire.
Surviving relatives include his mother - Doris M. Fesmire; sons, Andrew Fesmire and Nicholas Fesmire; daughter, Katrin Fesmire; grandson, Adam Fesmire; sisters, Betsyanne Crabb, Pamela Greene; daughter – in – law- Sarah; numerous loved nieces and nephews; and of course all of his surviving family of his late wife Deborah.
Services will include an intimate graveside service in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery in Round Pond, Maine. Here he will be laid to rest with his wife, Deborah and daughter, Christiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, Maine 04074. The family is forever grateful for the support and comfort they provided to Chester and his family in his final days.
