Roger R. Snow, Sr., 79, of Brookfield died Friday, January 4th at home surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Glenda M. (Wentworth) Snow; a son, Donald L. Snow and his wife, Brenda of Brookfield; two daughters, Christine L. White and her husband, David of Brookfield and Deborah A. Thayer and her husband, Mark of Leicester; two brothers, Warren Snow and his wife, Theresa of Leicester and David Snow of Virginia; three grandchildren, Michael White and his wife, Rachel, Amanda Reynolds and her husband, Christopher and Colby MacRonald and four great grandchildren, Colin, Ava, Sarah Rose and Zachary. He also leaves two nieces, Ella Thayer and Irma Snow as well as many additional nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Roger R. Snow, Jr.; four brothers, Robert, Donald, Gordon and Clifford; five sisters, Eunice, Doris, Barbara, Virginia and Patricia.
He was born in Charlton the son of Walter and Florence (Barnes) Snow. Mr. Snow was a member of the Laborers Local 243 for 54 years. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed trips to the casino. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing. Roger cherished the time he spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Reliant Cancer Center and St. Vincent Hospital Infusion Center for the support and care Roger received over the years.
His funeral is Thursday, January 10th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will follow in New Howard Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are Wednesday, January 9th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
