SPENCER: Carol A. (Santo) Bakanas, 77, of 98 Maple St., died Sunday, Dec. 30 in Quaboag Nursing & Rehabilitation in W.Brookfield after a brief illness.
She leaves her daughters Christine J. Provencher and her husband Alan of E.Brookfield, Gina M. Gaudette of Rutland, her brother Richard B. Santo of Dudley, three grandchildren; Amanda, Samantha and Danny, and a great granddaughter Sophia, nieces and nephews.
Carol was a high tech inspector at Digital Corp. in Shrewsbury for 9 years, retiring in 1995.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Anthony and Clara (Brodowski) Santo and lived in Warren before returning to Spencer in 2008. She was a member of the W. Warren Senior Club and St. Paul's Church. She enjoyed crafts and sewing.
