Doris Marion Lemos, 92, of Johnston, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at her home.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Sager “Saul” Laliberte and the late Flora Laliberte (McQueen). She is preceded in death by brothers Norman, Raymond and Clarence Liberty and sisters Evelyn Watmough and Georgiana Kulmacz.
She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Lemos for 50 years until his passing in 1999. She leaves behind her two sons, Richard Lemos of Scituate and Thomas Lemos and his wife Allison of Glocester. She was the cherished Nana of Jillian Lemos and the best friend of Max the Chihuahua.
Doris’ passion over the years was to donate her time and energy to helping needy animals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Humane Association of Northwestern R.I. (HANRI), PO Box 355/ 9 Church St., Pascoag, RI, 02859 or Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904 who provided great care and compassion to her during her illness.
At Doris’ request calling hours are omitted and the funeral and burial will be private.
