Age 85 of North St. Paul.
Born on December 14, 1933 in Grand Forks, ND to Anthony & Dora Gese. Passed away quietly on December 27, 2018 after a brief struggle with cancer and dementia. Preceded in death by husband, Richard Sr.; siblings, Dorothy, Josephine, Raymond, Leo, Donald, Charles and William. Survived by children, Martin (Annie), Michael (Deborah), Marie (John Wheeler), Michelle, Richard Jr. (Luanna), Mark, & Matt; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia. A proud graduate and basketball player from St. Joseph's Academy. Raised in St. Paul, MN and the family farm in ND. Settled in North St. Paul with husband Richard Sr. to raise their growing family. She was a founder of NSP Girls Basketball, active in the Jaycees and a local Girl Scout Troop Leader. She volunteered at Church of St. Peter as lead on the funeral luncheon committee. In her later years she enjoyed RV caravan trips and vacations with Richard Sr., outings with her "Red Hatters" and "Gal Pals", wintering in Arizona with the many friends she made there and watching her family continuing to grow. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday (January 5, 2019) 11:00 AM at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 N. Helen St., North St. Paul with Visitation on Friday from 4:00 PM -7:00 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul and one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
