AUBURN,MA: Eugene W. Barrett, 90, of 667 Washington St., died peacefully, Dec. 25th in his home.
He was the husband of Josephine M. (Maida) Barrett who died in 2014. He leaves his sons; Gene Barrett and his wife Karen of Belleville, IL and Arthur Barrett and his wife Denise of Brookfield, his daughter Donna Marie Rose and her husband Jeffrey of Selden, NY, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and his brother Arthur Barrett and his wife Vivian of AZ. He is predeceased by son Gary Barrett and brother Walter Barrett.
Born in New York City, he was the son of John and Agnes Grace (Burton) Barrett.
Gene was a steel worker for U.S. Steel Corp. for 41 years, retiring in 1990. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Gene especially loved to spend time with family, laugh, joke, sing oldies, and follow his beloved NY Yankees.
