Edgar C. Dupont, 91, of Lawrence Rd., Derry, NH died Monday June 24, 2002 at the Integrated Health Services in Derry. Mr. Dupont was born in Central Falls, Ma, on June 20, 1911 the son of the late Philip and Rose (Boucher) Dupont. He had resided in Derry since 1964, formerly living in Lawrence, Ma. He served with the US Navy during WWII as a flight instructor. He was the owner and operator of Dupont Motor Co., Lawrence, Ma, retiring in 1977.
He is survived by his three sons, Henry (wife Barbara) Dupont, Londonderry, Dennis (wife Denise) Dupont, Derry, Geoffrey P. (wife Margaret) Dupont, Derry, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers, Noah Dupont, Lawrence, Ma, Joseph Dupont, Florida, Emile Dupont, Baltimore, MD, two sisters, Doris McGurn, Arizona, Constance Boutin, Arizona, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Hilda C. (Duhamel) Dupont in 1992.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry are handling the arrangements.
