Barbara A. (Cacciarelli) Gasbarro 85, of Franklin, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Tuesday Dec. 25, 2018, Christmas evening at the Blaire House of Milford, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph E. Gasbarro, who died this past May.
Born April 10, 1933 in Nutley, New Jersey a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Dorothy A. (Malone) Cacciarelli, she was a resident of Franklin for over 50 years.
She was raised and educated in Nutley, New Jersey and was a graduate of Dean College in Franklin. She continued her education at the former Pondville Hospital, where she received her certificate as an LPN.
Barbara worked as a licensed practical nurse for the late Dr. Crowley and Dr. Pastorello of Franklin and at the Pondville Nursing Home.
She was devoted to her children grandchildren, great grandchildren and her patients. Barbara was a member of St. Brendan Parish, Bellingham and St. Mary’s Church, Franklin.
She is survived by her children, Ralph S. Gasbarro of Franklin, Richard A. Gasbarro and his wife Maria of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Randy J. Gasbarro and his wife Karen of Bridgewater, Robin A. Gasbarro of Franklin and Russell A. Gasbarro and his wife Asa of Franklin, and a sister Dorothy Arborgast of Jacksonville, Florida.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Robert Cacciarelli.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday Dec. 31st, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM.
Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Sunday from 1-4PM.
