Erma Sparks, age 89, of Paris, MS died peacefully Monday, December 24, 2018 at Pontotoc Health and Rehab. She was born October 13, 1929 to the late Herman and Nina Davis Hodge and worked many years as a seamstress for the Big Yank Corp in Water Valley. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, but her family always held a special place in her heart. She was a long time member of Delay Baptist Church in Yocona, MS.
Visitation is planned for Friday, December 28, 2018 at Delay Baptist Church from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will begin at 2:00 PM with Bro. Sammy Gossett and Bro. Blaine Davis officiating. Burial will be in Delay Church Cemetery.
Erma is survived by, four nieces, Carolyn Yarbrough, Marilyn Davis, Judy Bowles, and Patricia Johnson; and three nephews, Mike Foshee, David Hodge, and Kenneth Hodge.
Along with her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Sparks; one sister, Jackie Faye Foshee; and one brother, Herman Cecil Hodge, Jr.
