Joseph G. Michaelson, 65, of Canton died after a long battle with cancer on December 16, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was the devoted husband of Karen A. Michaelson (Kearney), loving Father of Stephanie E. Bliss and her husband Casey of Grafton and William J. Michaelson of Canton. The Brother of Maryann Berger of Franklin, Casey Skoglund and her husband Greg of PA, Kelly Tallman of PA. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Eleanor Michaelson, Sister Carol Flaherty and Brother John Michaelson. He is also survived by many loving Nieces and Nephews.
Joe grew up in Norwood, graduated from Norwood High School and UMass Amherst. He recently retired from the United States Postal Service after 28 years of service. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed golf.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 28, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 700 Washington Street, Canton, MA.
