Nancy Jean Morin, age 74, of Taunton, died on Friday December 21, 2018, at Wedgemere Healthcare in Taunton, after a long illness.
Born in Boston, MA on May 15, 1944 and raised in Abington MA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Jefferson and Edith (Hoyt) Jefferson.
She was a bus driver for over 30 years, driving buses and charters for Bristol Plymouth and the Taunton School system under H & L Bloom.
She was the loving mother of Robert Morin of Orlando FL, Joy Shaw and her husband Charlie of Los Angeles CA, and Daniel Morin and his wife Jen of Walpole MA. She is also survived by two beautiful granddaughters, Ava and Sidney Shaw, by her brothers Peter Jefferson and his wife Kim of Henderson NV and Richard Jefferson of Vero Beach FL, her niece and nephew, Mackenzie Hillstead and her husband Jeran of Utah and Sean Jefferson of Washington State, other extended family and a contingent of close friends that she considered family.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, traveling with her father, and enjoyed summers at the Tispaquin Family Area Campground for nearly 30 years. Nancy was an avid animal lover, owning several dogs over her lifetime, including Freeway.
Ashes will be scattered at a private ceremony followed by a service celebrating Nancy’s life to be announced at a later date.
