Obituary

ENFIELD, CT – Harry R. Simonet, 50, of Enfield, CT and a longtime resident of Springfield, MA, was Called Home on Monday, December 17, 2018. He was born in Springfield on October 11, 1968, a beloved son of the late Jean A. "John" Simonet and Stefany (Chiklakis) Simonet. He was raised in Springfield, graduated from Cathedral High School and later attended Springfield Technical Community College. He had lived in Springfield until moving to Enfield in 2005. He was last employed as a Correctional Officer for the Hampden County Sheriff's Department. He also was a Licensed Tradesman Sprinkler Fitter and worked in the surrounding area. Harry was an avid New England sports fan and loved to talk about his teams. Most of all, Harry loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Brettney A. (Bevington) Simonet. They were married on April 15, 2005 in Princeton, MA and were blessed with over 13 years of happiness together. Harry also leaves his two loving and cherished sons, Evan and Benjamin Simonet of Enfield; his dear brother, William C. Simonet and his wife, Ann, of West Springfield; his cherished nephew and niece, Jonathan and Ashley Simonet; his dear father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred J. and Dianne (Roderson) Bevington, of Chelmsford, MA; his dear brother-in-law, Christopher Bevington of Chelmsford; and his many dear friends and extended members of the Simonet and Bevington families. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 12 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. His burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA 01109. His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to an education trust fund to be set up for Harry's sons with checks made payable to his wife, Brettney Simonet, and mailed to P.O.
