Obituary

Flavia (DiBerardo) DiVito of North Andover died on Saturday, December 15. Born and raised in Sulmona, L'Aquila, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Bianca (Iudiciani) DiBerardo. Flavia lived in Venezuela for 7 years before coming to the U.S. in 1963. She lived in Boston's North End for 3 years before settling in Medford, where she lived until 6 years ago when she moved to North Andover.

Flavia was the beloved wife of the late Mario DiVito, and the devoted mother of Anna Ristaino and her husband Domenic of North Andover, and Joseph DiVito and his wife Fran of Middleton. She was the loving grandmother of Nicole DiVito, Michael DiVito and Adamo Ristaino, and sister of the late Concetta Gizzi and the late Elena Distefano. Flavia is survived by many loving nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Italy.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, December 20 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours Wednesday, December 19, from 4 through 8 PM.
