KATHLEEN MASTERSON MOTZ, 73

1945 - 2018
GORHAM- Kathleen Motz passed away at the Gosnell House in Scarborough on December 13, 2018. Kathy was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and attended Kent State University. She moved to Westlake, OH, where she raised her son, Mark, the light of her life. Kathy had a long and successful career with Ernst and Young as an Executive Assistant, serving senior management. After her son was grown, she moved to Cape Cod, living first in Nahant and then Hyannis, and then on to Fort Myers, FL, where she thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine of a warmer climate. Upon the recurrence of an earlier illness, Kathy moved to Maine in January of this year to the comfort of her late brother Bob’s Gorham home and the support of his family.
Kathy will always be remembered for her devotion to her son and her generosity, caring, quick wit, and humor. Predeceased by her brother, Bob, she is survived by her son Mark Denaci and his partner, Dwaine; a sister, Joan Gill, her husband John, nephew Brian Gill and nieces Beth Gill Oldford and Megan Gill Kopp; a brother, Thomas Masterson and his wife Marilyn, and nephews Darryl Loy and Geoffrey Masterson; and her sister in law, Althea Masterson, nephew Daniel, and niece Kathleen Masterson.
The family is deeply appreciative of Beacon Hospice and Comfort Keepers staff and in particular would like to thank Jen from Beacon and Danyelle from Comfort Keepers for their exceptional and compassionate care. Private services will be held at a later date.
