Ruby N. Webb
September 2, 1913- December 12, 2018

Ruby Norma (Rector) Webb, 105, Anderson, died on December 12, 2018 at Community Hospital after complications from a broken hip.
She was born September 2, 1913, on a farm in Madison County, the daughter of Louis and Hazel M. (Shimer) Rector. She attended Purdue University and was a graduate of Ball State. She then married Howard Webb, and their marriage would last seventy-five years. In her early years, she was a teacher at Daleville High School and a 4 -H judge. After the birth of her children, she was a homemaker and active volunteer in the Anderson community. She was a founding member and president of the Pink Ladies at Community Hospital where she volunteered until age 90. She was a member and past president of Ladies of Kiwanis and served on the Board of the Salvation Army. Ruby was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Judith Ann (Kendall) Zinszer of Anderson and Arlene (Ralph) Ellingwood of Alexandria, eight grandchildren, Monica (Scott) Hickman, Kristofer (Katherine) Zinszer, Aaron (Janine) Bundy, Aarik (fiancée Sandi Serour) Bundy and Brock (Heather) Bundy, Scott Ellingwood, Stacy Ellingwood, Andy (Whitney) Ellingwood, eight great-grandchildren, Kendall Hickman, Chase Hickman, Ava Bundy, Max Bundy, Cody Ellingwood, Huston Ellingwood, Paisley Ellingwood, Parker Ellingwood and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard Webb in 2011, two brothers, Richard Rector and Gerald Rector and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Rector.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Brad Hensley officiating. The burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be given to The Salvation Army or the charity of the donor's choice.
