Obituary

David A. Bryant age 68 of Bridgewater formerly of Brockton died peacefully Monday December 10, 2018 at Mass General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Rosemary (McNeill) Bryant.

David was born in South Boston a son of the late Alton D. and Phyllis (Kesys) Bryant and was raised in Brockton. After graduating from Brockton High School in 1968, David enlisted in the US Navy. He served two tours in Vietnam.

David retired from the US Postal Service, Brockton Main Office in 2015 after 45 years of service. He was also a dispatcher for the Enterprise for many years until he became ill.

In his free time, David enjoyed fishing, boating, cooking, and bowling. During the summer, David and his wife Rose loved vacationing down the Cape. He was an avid fan of the Patriots and the Red Sox.

David will be remembered as a hardworking and family oriented man who loved spending time with his family especially his daughter and grandchildren. It was always his honor to stand by them at every sporting event throughout the years.

David is survived by his daughter Jacqueline Rose Roman and her husband Richard David Roman of Raynham and two grandchildren Carley Rose and Zachary Carter Roman. He was the brother of Jeffrey and James Bryant both of Westwood, Donald Bryant of Florida, Linda Stresser of Maine, and the late John Bryant.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) on Monday 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater on Tuesday at 9am. Burial in the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne.
