WEBSTER – Neil P. Benjamin, 36, of 40 Prospect St., died Saturday, Dec. 17, in St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness.
He leaves his mother, Patricia K. (Lynch) Benjamin and a nephew, Kevin Owens, Jr., with whom he lived; 2 brothers, Robert A. Benjamin, Jr. and his wife Marykay of Suffolk, VA, and Michael J. Benjamin of Webster; 2 sisters, Janet A. Markiewicz and her husband Richard and Norma J. Summa and her husband Paul, all of Webster; his paternal grandmother, Florence (Fish) Benjamin Dusty of Webster; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan M. Owens of Webster, in 2001.
He was born in Webster, son of the late Robert A. Benjamin Sr., and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School.
Mr. Benjamin was a technician for 18 years at Gentex Corp. in Dudley, where he was working at the time of his death.
He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed fishing, hockey, wrestling and NASCAR racing.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, Dec. 20, in the funeral home. The family suggests donations be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 495 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, MA 01701
