Betty L. (Gregory) King, 91, of Warren, RI, formerly of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Grace Barker Health. She was the wife of the late Francis E. King.
Mrs. King was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Thomas E. and Lena N. (Pickup) Gregory and had been a longtime resident of the city before relocating to Warren. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary for Freidline, Carter & Johnson Insurance Co. of New Bedford. Mrs. King was an avid reader and she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughter: Kathi L. Zeller and her husband John of Tiverton; her granddaughter: Ashlee E. Zeller; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Gary M. King and sister of the late Ruth Schleeweis.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be on Monday, from 10-11 A.M., prior to the service.
Interment to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
