Obituary

Sandra Kay Wiggins Saylor, 73, of Ashburn passed away Monday, December 10, 2018, at Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Damascus United Methodist Church in Worth County with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Mrs. Saylor will be laid to rest at Damascus United Methodist Church Cemetery in Worth County with the Rev. Chuck Knight officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service at Damascus United Methodist Church in Worth County.

Mrs. Saylor’s grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Born September 16, 1945 in Poulan, Mrs. Saylor was the daughter of the late Howard Wiggins, Sr. and Lula Mae Barrett Wiggins. She was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. She was retired from Carriage Cleaners and was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church in Worth County. She loved to work word search puzzles and crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Saylor is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Saylor of Ashburn; one son, Kenneth Smith of Covington; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kay Smith of Callahan, Florida and Jennifer and Billy Wayne Franklin of Norman Park; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard Jr. and Eileen Wiggins of Sylva, North Carolina and Pete and Faye Wiggins of Omega; one sister, Mary Travell “Bell” Wiggins of Omega; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
