Carroll E. Brown of Bourne, MA, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 6, at the Laurel Ridge Nursing and Skilled Care Facility in Jamaica Plain, MA.
Carroll was born July 22, 1929 in Marion County, Indiana, to the late Armissa (Engs) Smith and Ernest Brown. He was a professional musician (drummer), a member of the Boston Musicians Union (AFM Local 9-535), and played in several venues over the years; including time playing for Eartha Kitt. Carroll also served in the US Air Force from 1945 to 1948, and was a 56-year Prince Hall Master Mason and Shriner. He will be missed by his extended family.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 29, 11am, at the South Yarmouth United Methodist Church, 318 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA. Refreshments will be served following the service in the Parish Hall.
