COVENEY, GEORGE E. of South Boston passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at age 77 on December 6, 2018 in Holland MA.
George was born on January 25, 1941 to the late George and Amelia Coveney
George was also preceded in death by his loving wife Teresa Coveney and Brother Charles Coveney.
George was survived by six children, Robert, Denise, Pamela, Paul, and Lisa Coveney, Robert Mank; two daughter in-laws Debra Coveney and Tina Lindsey; three stepchildren; three brothers Jackie, Bruce, and David Coveney; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
George worked for the Gillette Razor Company for over 35 years. He was a devoted Boston sports fan, animal lover and proud supporter of our armed forces. He was a loving family man who opened his heart and home to anyone and everyone.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday December 12 from 4-8pm at Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday December 13 at 10am in St. Brigid’s Church, South Boston. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be may be made to Operation Homefront, 21 Franklin St, Suite 2, Quincy, MA 02169
