Obituary

Worcester – Pandeli “Pandi” Tuppa, 88 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8th in his home with his family by his side.
Pandi is survived by his wife of 62 years to Mary (Tartaran) Tuppa; a son, Jon Tuppa and his wife Cheryl of Groton, MA; a daughter, Nicol Anderson and her husband, Joe Wojtowicz of Hardwick, MA; two brothers, George Tuppa and his wife, Carol of Babylon, NY and Nicholas Tuppa of Tacoma, WA; 4 grandchildren, Douglas Anderson, Kyle Tuppa, Emily Elizabeth Anderson and Bryce Tuppa; an aunt, Dominika Ziu of Worcester and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of the late John and Sophia (Ziu) Tupa.
Pandi graduated from the former Commerce High School and is a veteran of the Korean war serving in the United States Army.
Mr. Tuppa was the owner and operator of Pandi’s Market in Auburn for 42 years, retiring in 1992. He was a lifetime member of the American legion and also belonged to the Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks and the VFW Southworks Post #3657.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 AM prior to the funeral on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Pandi may be made to either St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury Street Worcester, MA 01609 or to the Central MA Hospice 191 Pakachoag Street Auburn, MA 01501.
