Obituary


Richard Charles Fucarile, age 89, of Woburn passed away on December 6, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was a devoted father and loved spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchild. He enjoyed landscaping, Italian cooking, deep sea fishing, traveling abroad to England, Italy, and France, and enjoying his retirement home in Florida, with family.

Richard was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Tedesco) for 61 years. Devoted father of Lori Davidson and her late husband Scott, of Lexington, Richard Fucarile II of Woburn, and Julie Bonetti and husband Frank, of Reading. He was the loving grandfather of Samantha Davidson. Brother of Joseph Fucarile of NH, with surviving nieces and nephews. Richard is sadly predeceased by his parents Mary (Aloy) and Mariano Fucarile, and siblings; Thomas Fucarile and wife Doris, Rose Baiarri and husband Don, and Josephine Fucarile

Richard graduated from Woburn High School and honorably served as a Staff Sergeant, in the U.S. Air Force, in the Korean War. He enjoyed business and education and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Masters degree in Business from Bentley University. As a veteran, he enjoyed community events and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. For 35 years, Richard worked as a Federal Examiner for the US Government for the National Credit Union Administration (N.C.U.A.) traveling all over New England. He also dabbled in Real Estate. Active at St. Barbara's Parish, he enjoyed teaching Catholicism to many students. Richard devoted himself to his family and will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, hero and best and dear friend.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 12th, at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to the Massachusetts Chapter of American Parkinson Disease Association or the Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
