Our Mother, Jeanne Marie (Cratty) Shields at 87 years young has concluded her earthly journey on December 8, 2018. She attended St. Mary’s High School and then graduated from Mount Ida Junior College. She resided in Charlestown for last 30 years, but raised her family in West Roxbury.
Jeanne faced the triumphs, trials and tribulations of her life with dignity and class. She was a beautiful woman with a great sense of fashion and loved the color purple. During her earthly journey, she was a wise and loving influence on so many lives. We imagine a very large and loving reception on her arrival to her next stop.
Her loving family wishes her a safe and sweet passage; her children Maureen & Scott Holmberg, Donna Shields, William and Eileen Shields, Brian Shields and Patti Holroyd, Tracey Shields, Barry & Kristyn Shields and Richard Bradley Shields. She is also survived by her sister Anne (Cratty) and Eddie Grabowski and brother William and Priscilla(MacKinnon) Cratty.
She leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Day is planned for Spring 2019.
She will be best remembered by a donation to American Heart Association, America Cancer Society or a charity of your preference.
