Obituary

HIRAM - Cynthia L. Kennedy, 81, of Hiram passed away on December 7, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in South Portland on July 6, 1937 a daughter of Alfred and Dorothy (Moore) Kennedy. She was educated in South Portland Schools including South Portland High School.

She was employed at the Cornish Dress Shop, Kezar Falls Woolen Mill, and The Bag Lady in Cornish working several years at each place. She also drove school bus for S.A.D.# 55 for 7 years. She later worked as a CNA / Med Tech at Gorham House for 15 years, retiring in 2007.

Cynthia was very active and enjoyed kayaking, snowmobiling and line dancing. She spent many hours sewing, knitting and crocheting and belonged to the Mainely Woods Rug Hooking Club. She loved watching NASCAR and the New England Patriots. She also had a great love for animals, especially her cats. Above all she loved spending time with her family.

Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Lloyd Kennedy. Surviving are 3 sons: Michael Bradeen and wife Mary of Hiram, Jody Bradeen and wife Kim of Standish and Guy Bradeen of Bridgton. 3 sisters: Lorraine Dixon of Biddeford, Viola Wallace of Hiram and Judith Emery of Parsonsfield. 8 grandchildren: James Bradeen, Daniel Bradeen, Amanda Hale, Lindsay Bradeen, Caitlin Bradeen, Nathaniel Carnevale, Sarae Thibodeau and Rebekah Bradeen. Also 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
