Marilyn Leslie Briscoe passed into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 surrounded by her family.
She was married for 62 years to the late Walter E. Briscoe and the mother of the Late Lynne Wisneski, Eric Briscoe and his wife Diane of Abington, and Leslie Clarke and her husband Jonathan of Kingston. Marilyn was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was a loving sister to her late brother M. Allan Nickerson and his wife Barbara of Holden MA, and Sylvia Ribbe and her husband John of Hudson FL.
Marilyn graduated from Weymouth High School in 1941 and from Vesper George School of Art. Marilyn also worked for many years as a substitute teacher in the Weymouth School system as well as a secretary to the principle at Weymouth South High School.
Her love for her savior the, Lord Jesus Christ, was evident in her attendance and membership in the churches where she lived. Her first 60 years at First Baptist Church in Weymouth then at Calvary Church in Charlotte NC, Osterville Baptist Church in MA and First Baptist Church of Duxbury.
Her love and devotion to her family will be the cherished memory of not only those mentioned above but of many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist in Weymouth located at 40 West St. S. Weymouth.
