Age 76 of White Bear Lake

A great wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully Nov 15, 2018 at “Our Lady of Peace” hospice in St. Paul with her husband; Allen and dog; Cody near her side. Preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Ruth Field and younger brother; Richard Field. Born April 4, 1942 in Litchfield MN and grew up on the family farm near Atwater MN. After graduating from Atwater high school, attended Hamline and St. Cloud College and later received an associate degree from Lakewood Community college in White Bear Lake, MN. On October 28, 1967 was united in marriage to Allen G. Wells at Atwater United Methodist Church. She earlier worked several years at Investors Diversified Services in Minneapolis, Perkins restaurant in Maplewood and recently worked for over 15 years as a realtor at Coldwell Banker Burnet in White Bear Lake.

Barbara loved her grandchildren dearly, was an avid reader, loved her cabin in WI and loved to help people, sew (especially for her grandchildren), knit and do crossword puzzles. She is an “honorary member for life” of “Bundles of Love” charity and gave multiple homemade receiving blankets to them and the Hayward hospital in WI.

Survived by her husband of 51 years; Allen: children, Peter (Eva) Wells and grandsons: Alexander, Jack, and Wyatt of Stillwater, MN; Kelly (Bryan) Raymond and grandchildren: Cassandra, Robert of Lino Lakes MN; Sara (Neil) Shah and grandchildren: Audrey, Bennett, and Cora of North Oaks, MN and sister; Judy (Jerry) Denekamp of Rapid City, SD.

Thank you so much for the loving care given by “Our Lady of Peace” hospice.

Memorials in honor of Barbara can be donated to “HealthWell Foundation” (Multiple Myeloma fund), ”Leukemia & Lymphoma Society”, or “Our Lady of Peace” hospice in St. Paul MN.

A private “celebration of new life” will be held at a later date.
