FRAMINGHAM: Eleanor K. (Morreale) DiCori, 92, died peacefully and comfortably following a period of declining health on December 6, 2018.
She was born in Waltham on September 21, 1926 the daughter of the late Alphonso Morreale and Mary (Morreale) Morreale.
Eleanor spent her formative years in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School. She had been a resident of Cochituate for over 31 years where she and her husband Domenic resided with their two children. In 1987, they retired to West Yarmouth.
Eleanor was the devoted wife for 52 years of the late Domenic Francis DiCori who died on August 31, 2001. She is the loving mother of David F. DiCori and his wife Maureen DiCori of West Yarmouth and Carol Ann Sullivan and her husband Kevin J. Sullivan of Framingham. Cherished grandmother of K. Ryan Sullivan and his wife Christine Sullivan and their children Aiden and Charlotte Sullivan all of Northborough. Sister of Adeline Morreale of Framingham and Lawrence Morreale and his wife Angela Morreale of Mashpee. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
For many years before retiring to the Cape, she was a Nurses Aide at Kathryn Barton Nursing Home in Wayland. She was an active and long time communicant of Saint Zepherin Church in Cochituate and involved with the Womens Club of the church. Eleanor loved cooking and especially being with family. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 9:30 until 11:00 am in the Holy Family Chapel at St. Patricks Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am.
Private family interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Domenic.
In lieu of flowers, her family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in her memory be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
