Obituary

Lorraine Boucher, passed on Saturday, December 1st in the year 2018, and a Mass will be held in her honor on that special day of the Immaculate Conception December 8th at 10:00 at Holy Trinity Church in Woonsocket, RI.

Mother of eight children, woman entrepreneur. She opened a variety store starting from the ground up selling small items like penny candy which she sold to the local children of Fairmount. She then expanded the store adding such commodity items as milk and bread and even delicious "to-go" pizza which provided a convenience for the parents of these children. This small neighborhood market, known as L & B Variety store, served many families.

Personally, she loved quiet time, was a puzzle-maker, would make hook rugs and immersed herself in daily prayers for families and friends. In retirement, she was an avid league bowler and a collector of ,elephant figurines and inspired religious items. In addition, without any elaboration, anyone who knew her well would consider her a "Tough Cookie".

Throughout the years, she took time to serve others in need She loved God, Jesus and His Blessed Mother Mary. As years passed, her drive for independence continued but as happens to all all of us, her quality of life diminished and she moved on to a better life with those of her past, who are now in her present, namely, her brother, sisters, son, other relatives but especially her Beloved Husband Gerard. And now, she resides in peace and joy and awaits to welcome us, her children and posterity, with open arms and with more love and warmth than we can even imagine.
