Fall River – Gloria (Martin) Rapoza, 90, of New Bedford died Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of John F. Rapoza.
Mrs. Rapoza was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Fernandes) Martin and was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. She was a Communicant of Mt. Carmel Church, New Bedford.
She is survived by a daughter: Kathy Miranda and her husband Ronnie of Fall River; a granddaughter: Laurie Silvia and her husband Jerald of Dighton; 3 great grandchildren: Jillian Marie Silvia, Lindsey Joy Silvia and Joshua Evan Silvia; and several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was sister of the late Louis Martin and Manuel Martin.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, December 21, 2005 from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Mt. Carmel Church, New Bedford at 10:30 A.M.
Calling hours Tuesday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 P.M.
Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, New Bedford.
