NEW BEDFORD — Juliana Elizabeth (Roderick) Gomes, 95, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
Born in Harwich, she was the daughter of the late Zachary and Mary (Rose) Roderick. Julie lived in Port Chester, NY, New Bedford and Dartmouth.
Julie was loved and adored by her family and friends, and was known for making the best munchupa around. She will also be remembered for her tireless work as a childcare provider, and many families entrusted their children in Julie’s loving care.
Julie is survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sons, Brian Gomes and Allan Gomes; her sisters, Margaret Pires and Mildred Howell; and her brothers, Charles Roderick, Horace Roderick and Robert Rose.
Her funeral mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
