New Bedford– Georgina F. DaSilva, age 87, of New Bedford passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was the wife of the late Manuel Pacheco DaSilva and the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (de Estrela) deFrias.
Georgina was born in Vila Franca do Compo St. Michael Azores, and moved to this area in 1969. She was a homemaker to he loving family and a member of The Holy Rosary Club.
She is survived by her 5 sons: Joao DaSilva of Alabama, Carlos DaSilva, Adrian DaSilva, Heraciao DaSilva and Arthur DaSilva all of New Bedford ; 1 brother Joseph de Frias of New Bedford as well as 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Georgina’s visiting hours will be held Friday morning from 8:00 – 10:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
