Stanford E. Bernard (86) of Brockton died December 2nd in the West Acres Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of Lorna A. (James) Bernard.
He was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica son of the late Stanley and Ida (Thompson) Bernard. Stanford was a heating technician owning "Bunny's Heating Service" in Brockton previously he was a detective in his native country of Jamaica. He enjoyed playing dominoes, going to the casino, gardening, video games and watching all New England sports teams.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his 3 sons, Steven of Brockton, Miguel of Tennessee and Derrick Bernard of Florida, 2 daughters, Lisa Bernard of Brockton and Sharon Halsall of Jamaica, a brother Joshua Thompson of Jamaica, 8 grand and many great grand and great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday December 8th at 6 pm with Rt. Rev'd Dr. James Hiles, Rector of Saint Paul's Parish, Brockton officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation in the Funeral Home 4 pm prior to services.
