Obituary

BRUNSWICK- After 71 years, Clyde Parker White is being comforted and protected by the Lord.

Clyde began life in the small shoe shop town of Freeport. Not having a love for education, and to avoid the consequences of being a young hellion, he opted to enlist in the Army. He served his country for 24 years, including four tours in Vietnam, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant Major.

Upon retirement, he pursued a career in automotive retail. His adventures in life were guided by his belief in the Lord. He believed that people rise to their highest with the love of family and help of God. It was his desire that people should realize this earlier in life.

He is survived by his four brothers, George Jr, Peter, Bill and Steve, whom he loved very much, as well as their wonderful families. Also, step-brother Edward Schenk, step-sister Linda (Schenk) Dumont and predeceased by step-brother Leon Schenk. In addition, he is survived by loving, ex-wife Marilyn, her caring daughter Wendy and remarkable family including 10 grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren. They all welcomed him to their family with open hearts. It taught him how important family is.

It was time to go with God. No regrets only happiness with God’s love.

Special thanks to the staff of the Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. The family would also like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House caretakers who filled Clyde’s last days with dignity and kindness.

At his request, there is no service. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service website, www.mainefuneral.com
