Acushnet – Noemia (Jesus) Correia, age 94, of Acushnet passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Correia.
Born in St. Michael, Azores Noemia was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria daLuz (Barbosa) Jesus. She had worked for Justin Clothing for many years. Noemia loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Lidia Goncalves and her husband Paul, Rute Cordeiro and her husband Ezequiel, Laura Sousa and her husband Walter and Elisa Correia; 6 grandchildren, Noemia Sousa, Katherine Sousa, Ana Raquel Lucia, Mark Phillip da Ponte, Michelle Pimentel and Christina Marie da Ponte;6 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Noemia’s visiting hours will be on Sunday from 3:00 -6:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will be on Monday morning, in the funeral home, beginning at 8:00 A.M. with a service to be held at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
