WEBSTER – Roger R. Latour, 84, died Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Webster Manor after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Patricia A. (Stasko) Latour; a son, Gary R. Latour of Webster; 2 granddaughters, Mariah Latour and Haleigh L. Ruda; a sister, Arline and her husband Glenn Rice of Virginia; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen L. (Latour) Ruda, who died in 2012.
He was born in Spencer the son of Edouard and Dora (Carpenter) Latour. He was a graduate of Cole’s Trade School class of 1957.
Mr. Latour was an Army veteran of the Korean war.
He was first employed as a tool and die maker then becoming a supervisor for the American Optical Company in Southbridge. He retired in 2000.
He enjoyed the outdoors.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street.
