Obituary

82, of Dracut
Passed in peace on November 25th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her cherished husband of 50 years, Anthony P. Salmeri of Dracut, MA; her devoted children, Steven Salmeri of Jackson, NH, Lori Salmeri and husband Tim Douglas of Somerville, MA; and her pride and joy, grandson Enzo Anthony Douglas of Somerville, MA.
Annette was a beautiful soul who loved everyone she met. She touched the hearts of all who knew her, from longtime friends to nurses who’ve cared for her even briefly. She was a devoted sister to Marianne and husband Jack Caruso of Andover, brother Thomas Pascarella and wife Irma of N. Andover, brother Louis and wife Beverly of N. Andover, late brother Dominic and his wife Mary Pascarella of Everett, late sister and brother-in-law Jeanne and George Gateas, and late sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Larry Reinold. She was also a beloved sister-in-law to Albert and Cathy Salmeri of Malden, Leo and Judi Salmeri of Weymouth, Alta and the late Joe Salmeri of Randolph, and the late Paul and Rose Salmeri. She was a dear friend to many, and a beloved aunt to many, many nieces and nephews — each of whom she adored with her whole heart.
She was the daughter of Louis and Annette Pascarella, who raised their seven children in Arlington and Everett, MA. She lived for her family, and proudly worked for many years as a secretary at Green Engineering and Houston Chair while caring for her parents and enjoying her dear siblings and nieces and nephews. She graduated from Everett High School and forged friendships that lasted her entire life — attending class reunions even into recent years. Traveling with friends for dancing trips to Puerto Rico or weekends at Eastover Resort were among her favorite things. She was an incredible dancer, which led her to meet Anthony, the love of her life. They married in 1968 and his large, loving family soon became hers too, and together they started their own. Annette enjoyed working for the Tewksbury Public Schools as an occasional administrator for many years. She loved taking ski trips and other family vacations, being with children, cooking, singing, going to the theatre, and sharing a laugh and a shoulder with anyone over a cup of coffee.
