New Bedford – Maria D. Medeiros, age 95, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Brandon Woods. She was the beloved wife of the late Joao B. Medeiros and the daughter of the late Manuel do Rego and Idalina daConceicao (Amaral) Pereira.
Maria was born in St. Michael, Azores and moved to this area in 1980 where she worked as a floor worker for Madeira Twin Fashions.
She is survived by her sons, Antonio M., Artur J., and Mario J. Medeiros; 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandsons; 2 nephews, 1 niece; as well as her brother Joao Luis deMedeiros.
Maria’s visiting hours will be held prior to Mass on Friday morning in the funeral home from 8:30 – 10:00 A.M. and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. Johns Cemetery.
