An elder branch has fallen from the Bogardus family tree.
Darrell J. Bogardus, aka "Bogy" was a true Gentleman, Husband, Army Captain, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, Citrus Rancher, Broker-Financial Planner, Golfer, Cocktail Mixologist, Sailor, Fly Fisherman, Body Surfer, Mentor, Gin Rummy Champion, Community Volunteer, Lover of Life.
He will be very missed by his wife of 76 years, Doris Lagomarsino, his daughter, Suzanne Barkley, and all of the 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by their daughter, Sandra Carter.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, 11am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Ventura, Ca.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Los Angeles YMCA and to the Rotary Club of Los Angeles - LA 5.
