Worcester—Dianne Sahagian, 85, formerly of St. Elmo Rd., died Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Holy Trinity Nursing Home. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Bedros G. and Alice (Esayian) Sahagian and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She was a secretary for Johnson Steel & Wire, a member of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Armenian Church of Our Saviour and its Ladies’ Guild, and a volunteer and member of the Worcester Art Museum. She loved to paint landscapes. She is survived by a sister, Jane M. Winecoff of Everett, PA; a nephew, David A. Winecoff of Perrineville, NJ; and 2 grandnephews. A sister, Isabel A. Sahagian, died in 1997.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 19, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street with a service at 11:00 a.m., at Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church or the Mass Assoc for the Blind, 51 Harvard St., Worcester MA 01609.
