Obituary

STANDISH- Thomas L. Hatch, originally from Meriden, Connecticut, but most recently residing in Standish, Maine, passed away suddenly on November 22nd, 2018, due to complications from heart surgery. Tom was a shining star in the lives of all that knew him, but especially, the immediate family who survived him: his loving wife Terry, daughters, Tonya and Linda, their spouses Joe and Greg and granddaughter Samantha; brothers Dan and Michael, sister in Law Linda; and father and mother in law Ralph and Linda; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother and father Leo and Jeanine Hatch...
Tom was a deeply spiritual man, so much so it weighed heavy on him at times Despite battling his own demons, he was always quick with a joke and could interject levity into any situation. He had a thoughtful, calculating intellect, and coupled with a calm, unassuming delivery, that made Tom the perfect companion for long walks, political discussions, or a conversation about anything that could be troubling you on that particular day.
His charming charisma also served him well in the world of business, he has independently run a successful company for well over 20 years, developing strong relationships with many of his employees and clients all across the country.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday Nov. 30, at 11 AM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22), in Buxton. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
