Obituary

Grace Anne (Sardella) Sullivan of Medford died on Saturday, November 17, at Courtyard Nursing Care Center of Medford. Born in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Philomena "Mamie" (DeSimone) Sardella. Grace spent her youth in East Boston and Somerville. She went to an all-girls school in Boston where she was in the debate club and always on the honor roll.

Grace owned and worked at a ladies boutique, retiring in 1981. She spoke English and Italian, loved dancing the Jitterbug, and enjoyed trivia and crossword puzzles. She played the piano and loved to sing, even performing on the radio when she was 3! Grace also enjoyed watching hockey on TV.

Grace was the devoted mother of the late Nicky Lupoli, and dear sister of Connie Marino and her husband Salvatore of Boston, and the late Angelo Sardella and his late wife Westin. She was predeceased by husbands Nick Lupoli and Herbert Sullivan. Grace is survived by her loving nephew Joseph “Jay” Sardella of Quincy and his wife Holly, her Great nephew Caleb and his mother Kerry Malyrck of Medford.

Private funeral services were held, concluding with burial at Fairview Cemetery, Boston
